Virtuous Women's Ministry
truly understands how valuable our youth. It is imperative that adults
serve as guiding forces in the lives of children. VWM strives to be a
beacon of light, hope and opportunity for youngsters. By educating and
informing children about the importance of knowing their history and
celebrating their heritage, we serve as a channel of inspiration.
Informed minds are inspired minds.
In the past, the ministry has hosted various cultural events and trips
such as an excursion to the Blacks in Wax Museum, a trip to see the
play "Abraham and Sarah" as well as a trip to Baltimore Harbor. Coming
events will include a trip to see a play titled "Underground Railroad
Reenactment" in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This event is produced
by Harambee Historical Services.
In order to move forward and embrace one's future, it is essential to
know one's history. For this reason, we will continue to educate our
children about history and introduce them to resources and ideologies
that they may not otherwise be exposed to through public education.
Our children are our future. VWM serves as a portal for youngsters to
visualize their futures; and equip them with the tools necessary for
making their dreams reality: honesty, integrity, dedication, focus,
confidence, knowledge and hard work. |
